Veterinarian Oath
Being admitted to the profession of veterinary medicine, I solemnly swear to use my scientific knowledge and skills for the benefit of society through the protection of animal health, the relief of animal suffering, the conservation of livestock resources, the promotion of public health and the advancement of medical knowledge. I will practice my profession conscientiously, with dignity, and in keeping with the principles of veterinary medical ethics. I accept as a lifelong obligation the continual improvement of my professional knowledge and competence. Adopted by the AVMA House of Delegates, July 1969

Kurt Mychajlonka, DVM
Dr. Mychajlonka knew as a young boy that he wanted to become a veterinarian. This childhood dream of veterinary medicine, led him from his home town of Nanty Glo, Pennsylvania, to Phoenix, Arizona, and eventually to Las Vegas.
Dr. Mychajlonka completed his undergraduate training at Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, Arizona and earned his D.V.M. at Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana in 1993. During his college years, he worked at a small animal emergency hospital and an equine surgical center, which fostered his interest in high quality, cutting edge veterinary care.
Dr. Mychajlonka has been a fixture at Craig Road Animal Hospital since it’s founding in 1996 and is fondly known by many of his clients as “Dr. Mych”. He serves as attending veterinarian to the Nevada Task Force search and rescue dogs. He served as a past president of the Nevada Veterinary Medical Association in 1996.
Dr. Mychajlonka’s veterinary interests include general and orthopedic surgery, advanced dental procedures and laparoscopic procedures. For leisure, he enjoys outdoor activities, fishing, photography and reading. Dr. Mychajlonka resides in Las Vegas with his wife and three adopted children: Jade and Magnum (Labrador retrievers,) and Boss, a Shih-poo-kie.

Jessica Hagstette, DVM
Jessica Hagstette has always loved caring for animals. She started in the veterinary world by working as a kennel attendant in 1995. From there, she found her career interest and explored different facets of veterinary medicine through various jobs and volunteer positions. Her career has included roles in small animal, equine and livestock animal hospitals, both within private and university sectors.
Dr. Hagstette attended Louisiana State University and A&M College from 1995 to 1998, studying in animal science. She then attended LSU School of Veterinary Medicine and graduated with her D.V.M. Dr. Hagstette joined Craig Road Animal Hospital in 2002, where she has contributed her warmth and passion for veterinary medicine ever since.
Aside from her daily veterinary role at Craig Road, Dr. Hagstette is head of the hospital’s Veterinary Student mentorship program. This program offers highly coveted externship positions for veterinary students from across the country. Dr. Hagstette’s practice interests include internal medicine, endocrinology, ultrasound diagnostics, theriogenology (canine reproduction,) and neonatal care.

Cathy Whitcraft, DVM
Dr. Cathleen Whitcraft has been at Craig Road Animal Hospital since 2004. Prior to becoming a veterinarian, her background included a degree in Business finance and a career with U.S. Treasury Department. Later, she went on to earn her biology degree and her D.V.M. from Colorado State University.
Her special practice interests include internal medicine, endocrine disease, cardiology, ophthalmology and dermatology. Dr. Whitcraft is active with community outreach and participating in Career Day talks at local schools, inspiring others to pursuing a veterinary career.
Dr. Whitcraft has two birds, two cats and a batch of fluffy dogs that consume much of her love. Besides her household of critters, she enjoys world travel, scuba diving, biking, climbing trees and reading.

Anton Roach, DVM
From Queens, New York, Dr. Anton Roach is not only a skilled veterinarian, but also an accomplished scholar. He earned his degree in Animal Science from Iowa State University in 1991. After earning a Master of Science in Immunology from his alma mater, he continued his research and intensive studies, going on to also receive his Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from ISU along with earning two awards for his work.
Dr. Roach joined the veterinary staff at Craig Road Animal Hospital in 2004. His professional interests include dentistry, surgery and internal medicine. When not providing top care for his patients, Dr. Roach enjoys watching football and is an avid sports fan. He also enjoys traveling, and enjoying life in the Las Vegas community.

Kerri Chambers, DVM
Dr. Keri Chambers is a true Las Vegas native. She spent her childhood and much of her college years in Las Vegas. After completing a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Nevada - Las Vegas, she completed her veterinary training at the School of Veterinary Medicine at Colorado State University. After graduation, Dr. Chambers returned to Las Vegas and found her home at Craig Road Animal Hospital.
Her veterinary interests include internal medicine, preventative medicine and dermatology. Dr. Chambers shares her home with a ragtag group of dogs and cats: Atticus, a cocker spaniel mix; Cooper, a Labrador mix; and three cats named KC, Neela and Dave. When she’s not tending to animals, Dr. Chambers enjoys hiking and reading.

Orlena Tampira, DVM
Dr. Orlena Tampira is a skilled veterinarian that came to our hospital from Louisiana. She is a graduate of Loyola University and received her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Louisiana State University in 2007. Dr. Tampira has worked with our local English Bulldog rescue as well as Colossal Canine Care to ensure overall health prior to placement in foster homes. She has also worked with the Nevada Task Force dogs to ensure the animals were fit for their search and rescue work.
Dr. Tampira practiced Judo before moving to Las Vegas, competing regularly and even being awarded the title of State Champion a few times. Her passion for Judo also led her to instruct under-privileged public school children for a non-profit organization.
At work, Dr. Tampira’s interests are soft tissue and laparoscopic surgery, as well as caring for large and giant dog breeds. Her family includes her new husband, three English bulldogs, one French bulldog and two cats.

Courtney Daniels, DVM
A Midwesterner by birth, Dr. Courtney Daniels came to Craig Road Animal Hospital from Dyer, Indiana. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from Butler University located in Indianapolis, Indiana and then earned her D.V.M. from Purdue University School of Veterinary Medicine.
Always with a sunny personality and her infectious laugh, Dr. Daniels is loved by her clientele- both paws and people. Her veterinary interests are in the areas of endocrinology, oncology and general surgery. Her personal interests include sports, hiking and travel. Dr. Daniels has a diverse family that includes a Weimeraner named Baron, a Labrador retriever named Peyton, a Great Dane named Rigley and a Himalayan cat named Sebastian.

Sharon Stone, DVM
Dr. Sharon Stone has contributed her charming personality and dedication to excellent care within Craig Road Animal Hospital. She graduated with her D.V.M from the University of Tennessee in 2008, and went on to participate in a year-long veterinary internship. Dr. Stone later worked as an associate veterinarian at a 24-hour emergency and general practice hospital in Tucson, Arizona. We were pleased to welcome Dr. Stone to our staff in 2011.
Dr. Stone’s professional interests include emergency medicine and exotic wildlife, especially zoo animals. Outside of work, Dr. Stone is a Star Wars and comic book fan, and loves to spend time traveling and enjoying the company of family and friends. Dr. Stone moved to Las Vegas with her husband and is expecting their first child next year.

Kyle Krish, DVM
Originally from Flint, Michigan, Dr. Kyle Krish moved to Indiana for his college years. At Indiana University, he earned his Bachelors of Science in Biology with a minor in Chemistry. Dr. Krish then became a “Boilermaker” and completed his graduate studies in veterinary medicine at Purdue University.
Dr. Krish has found his new home in Las Vegas and Craig Road Animal Hospital. His favorite disciplines include neurology, general surgery and preventative medicine. Dr. Krish is an active member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and enjoys continuing education seminars, as well as reading medical journals to keep up with the latest veterinary advances.
Outside of scrubs, Dr. Krish thrives in outdoor sports along with his partner Samson, a Schnauzer-poodle mix; in fact, the two have competed side-by-side in two 5K road races. Dr. Krish and his wife have recently started on a new adventure— child rearing, with the birth of their first child.

Doris Calloway, DVM
Dr. Doris Calloway grew up in Los Angeles, CA. She received her BA in History and Fine Arts from Amherst College in Amherst, MA. After college, she worked as a professional fundraiser for diabetes research. Along the way, she came to realize that veterinary medicine was her true passion and she went on to earn her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Tufts University in Massachusetts.
After graduating, she gained additional training in emergency and critical care through an internship at the Animal Emergency and Referral Center in Los Angeles. Her professional interests include trauma care, gastrointestinal disease, and anesthesia in high-risk patients. Outside of work she enjoys cooking and spending time with her family and two feisty Chihuahuas, George and Harold.
